The Storyteller's Anthology

The 2013 volume The Storyteller’s Anthology brings together short stories, essays, poems, memoir pieces, and excerpts from longer works by members of SouthWest Writers, offering readers a snapshot of the group’s creative range. As co‑editor, Jacqueline Murray Loring worked closely with the lead editor to read submissions, offer editorial guidance, and ensure that each accepted piece was polished and ready for publication.

In supporting the editor, she helped organize and balance the anthology’s mix of genres and voices so the book would read as a cohesive whole while still honoring each writer’s unique style. Her background as an award‑winning poet, playwright, and editor informed her feedback to contributors and strengthened the overall quality of the anthology on behalf of SouthWest Writers.
